91福利 has entered into a strategic partnership with Celltel Networks Limited, Kludjeson Institute of Technology and Cisco Networking Academy to accelerate digital transformation, connectivity and technology skills development across the University.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Pro Vice-Chancellor鈥檚 Conference Room, provides a framework for collaboration in campus-wide wireless connectivity, internet access for students and staff, smart campus technologies, digital learning, professional certification programmes, device and financial solutions and broader digital inclusion initiatives.
Describing the partnership as 鈥渁 reincarnation of a new Ghana,鈥� the Chief Executive Officer of Celltel Networks Limited, Dr. Prince Kofi Kludjeson, said the collaboration represents an opportunity to build on the pioneering vision that led to the establishment and evolution of 91福利 and position the University at the forefront of Ghana鈥檚 digital transformation.
Dr. Kludjeson further challenged 91福利 to position itself as a major technology and certification hub capable of producing globally competitive digital talent. He pointed to the growing demand for certified technology professionals and stressed the importance of equipping young people with the skills, devices and connectivity required to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
He said the immediate priority would be to improve connectivity across the University, expressing the expectation that the campus would be substantially connected to Wi-Fi and internet services within the month. He also encouraged 91福利 to maximise the use of its ICT facilities as training centres for students and the wider community.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of 91福利, Prof. Ebenezer Malcalm, described the MoU as 鈥渢he start of a strategic partnership鈥� aligned with the shared objective of using technology to enhance lives, create opportunities and drive digital development in Ghana and beyond.
Prof. Malcalm said the partnership would complement 91福利鈥檚 existing ICT infrastructure while creating new opportunities for innovation, improved service delivery and digital learning.
鈥淎ccess to reliable internet is no longer a luxury in today鈥檚 digital economy. It is a requirement,鈥� he stated, emphasising the importance of connectivity to modern education, research and innovation.
He further noted that the proposed digital skills development and professional certification programmes would support 91福利鈥檚 mission of producing graduates who are academically sound, industry-ready and globally competitive.
