Our robot system and our solutions stand for quality "Made in Germany", Our founding and main site as well as significant parts of our development are located in Constance on Lake Constance, while production takes place in Villingen-Schwenningen in the Black Forest.

Long delivery times are a foreign concept for us, as we are not dependent on multi-linked international supply chains. Our customers therefore usually receive HORST robots within two weeks of ordering. In most cases, our automation solutions (solution kits) are delivered to the customer in less than eight weeks.

Yes, most of our customers implement applications with HORST themselves, even without previous experience in automation. Our software is as easy to understand as using a smartphone or tablet, and the hardware can be connected to existing production lines in no time at all. For more complex applications, one of our partners in Germany and throughout Europe will support you.

Over half of our customers say they have integrated their automation projects with one or more HORST robots in less than a week. We are regularly praised for the low training requirements and user-friendliness of our products. You are even faster with our pre-configured, CE-compliant automation modules, the Solution Kits - these are usually ready for production within one working day.

The patented drive technology of the HORST robots combines unique gear technology with sensors on the output side. The unique, maintenance-free concept guarantees precise movements over the entire service life of the robot at particularly low operating costs.

It is standard with us. Every HORST comes with a six-year warranty on the drive train, i.e. on all motors and planetary gearboxes. You do not need to conclude a separate service or warranty contract for this.

Our robots have a service life of more than 50,000 operating hours. Since the first HORSTs were delivered in 2017, there has not been a single motor or gearbox failure. The innovative design (see question 1) enables the use of planetary gearboxes with a service life of 50,000 hours in nominal operation. The shaft gearboxes used by many competitors only have a service life of 7,000-10,000 hours in rated operation.

Depending on the robot in the HORST family, they have a reach of 584 mm and a payload of 3 kg (HORST600) up to 1485 mm and a payload of 16 kg (HORST1500).

All HORST robots have IP54 protection. This makes them perfect for applications in which the robots are permanently exposed to dust, chips or coolants. Our latest generation of robots even have IP65 protection for three of the six axes, meaning they are dust-tight and protected against light water jets.

Our horstOS automation operating system has been available since July 2024. In addition to programming the robot, it also includes the complete setup and control of entire applications. All functions of the previous horstFX programming software are part of the new horstOS and can be found in the Program Generation section.

Yes, many of our customers do not need a complex PLC controller to control their automated system. The HORST controller can be used as a kind of "mini PLC". All process participants (e.g. robots, grippers, safety systems or a camera) can be set up and operated centrally via the horstOS operating system. All automation modules (solution kits) function without an additional PLC.

Naturally, via the Profinet interface. Our robot systems support all common industry standards. For more complex applications (e.g. due to many process participants), it may make sense to use an external PLC. Otherwise, horstOS helps as a "mini PLC".

With the AI Copilot, we provide users with a virtual real-time assistant during all phases of their automation. It supports the integration of components and the commissioning of the application. It helps with programming and can generate entire code modules after text input. It analyzes running processes for errors and provides troubleshooting tips. The AI Copilot is available directly on the panel and in the simulation environment on the PC.
